Not only is this a cause for celebration for James and his friends and family, it is also a cause for celebration for Lupton Fawcett as a firm proving as it does that we do not have any glass ceilings.  We take the career progression of our non-lawyers as seriously as our lawyers.”

James Nuttall comments:  “I began working at Lupton Fawcett on a temporary contract in the Post Room, as an 18 year who had yet to decide whether to go to University or begin my working career. I was immediately impressed by Lupton Fawcett’s culture and was lucky, when the opportunity arose, to be considered for a junior cashiering role. After being in the role for a couple of months, I realised that this was where I wanted my career to progress and I took it upon myself to study, in the evenings and weekends, initially towards the AAT qualification then progressing to ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants).  Lupton Fawcett offered me huge support and encouragement, not only by those already qualified in the profession but also by providing me with study leave and supporting costs and the ultimate accolade of my promotion to Head of Finance, an achievement I am very, very proud of.”
